As of February 18, 2009, “ The General” Compound Bows manufactured by BowTech Archery were recalled sue to laceration, abrasion, or contusion risks. There have been about 8,000 bows already sold nationwide, and incidents and injuries have already been reported. So far there have been 255 reports of the bow’s limbs breaking, and 11 reports of lacerations, abrasions and contusions due to the broken pieces of the bow striking the user.
