Many still hold hope for Nick Bollea’s critically injured passenger, John J. Graziano, who suffered from a severe head injury in the crash. Nick Bollea, otherwise popularly known as Nick Hogan on VH1’s hit reality show, “Hogan Knows Best”, had a terrible car accident Sunday night in Clearwater, Florida. Both Bollea and Graziano had to be taken to the hospital as a result of the car crash, but Nick Bollea was released the next day with only minor injuries.

His good friend John Graziano was in the front passenger seat when the car spun out of control on State Road 60 in downtown Clearwater, wrapping around a palm tree and totaling the yellow Toyota Supra. Well-wishers are planning a vigil for Graziano tonight in Glen Oaks Park at 7:00, Clearwater, and many attendees are expected.

Frances Vitalis, a registered nurse from Plant City, gave a statement about Bollea’s drag-racing that night. According to ABC News, Vitalis was riding on a motorcycle behind the cars and saw a Supra and a Dodge Viper revving their engines. “We knew something was going to happen…you know that this is a bad situation and these guys are hotdogging.”

On Tuesday of this week, amidst allegations of drag-racing by eye-witnesses, the Hogan family hired a high-profile defense and DUI attorney to help them with any future lawsuits. There are no car accident lawsuits as of yet, but Nick Hogan’s accident is still under investigation by the Clearwater police. Police have assured the public that drugs and alcohol were not a factor in this car wreck.
