A Bellevue woman who was seriously injured when a State Patrol trooper rammed her car has filed a civil lawsuit against the state and the Washington State Patrol. Julia Terlinchamp was a Fulbright scholar who graduated from the International School in Bellevue four years before the December 2004 accident that changed her life forever.
It’s important to remember that before suing a governmental entity–whether it be a city, county, state or agency–you must file a tort claim form. If you do not file the tort claim form and wait the required time before filing suit your suit can and likely will be dismissed.
