On March 17, a teen driver lost control of his car on Highland Park Way S.W., drove onto a sidewalk and struck and killed a bicyclist. Authorities now believe the teen driver was travelling at an excessive speed, which was a factor in the accident.
A recent AAA Foundation for Safety report found that the majority of fatalities involving teen drivers affect individuals other than the teen driver. The family of the victim should contact a personal injury attorney as soon as possible to discuss the options and preserve their rights.
