The Container Store Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of Lush Life power strips because the wiring fails to meet requirements for fire resistance which poses a fire hazard to consumers.
Approximately 7,200 units are affected by this recall. The recall involves three designs of brightly-colored, six-outlet power strips with the model number 8001-6. A news release by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) includes photos of the items for reference.
To this date, no injuries or incidents have been reported.
Consumers are urged to discontinue using the recalled power strips and to return them to any Container store location for a full refund and $15 merchandise card.
