Christmas Tree Shops, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has issued a voluntary recall of more than 6,200 tea light holders because the flame can burn too high, due to the design, posing a fire hazard.
To this date, the company has received one report of a consumer suffering a hand burn when the tea light flame was too high.
The recall involves a decorative spiral tea light holder that has a metal insert for the tea light. The affected SKU/UPC number is 000015931955 and can be found on the label on the bottom of the glass. The CPSC News Release includes a photo of the recalled items for your reference.
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled tea light holders and to return them to any Christmas Tree Shops store for a refund. For more information, please call the company at (888) 287-3232 or visit them online at www.christmastreeshops.com.
