Cheyenne Benyi joined Grewal Law PLLC as an Associate Attorney after working with the Grewal team as a law clerk throughout law school. Her practice primarily focuses on cannabis law, criminal defense, and general civil matters.
Cheyenne earned her Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University with a double major in Criminal Justice and Anthropology. As a through and through Spartan, Cheyenne continued her education at Michigan State University College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor.
As a practicing attorney, Cheyenne has gained invaluable experience as a member of the Michigan Bar Cannabis Law Section, the Criminal Law Section, the Litigation Section, and the Negligence Law Section. She also dedicates time to serving on a number of committees including the Cannabis Section Young Lawyers Committee, the Cannabis Section Mentorship Program Committee, and the Cannabis Law Legislative Reform Committee. She was a speaker at the 2021 Cannabis Law Annual Conference where she discussed the consolidation and legislative reform of the MMFLA, MRTMA, and MMMA.
