Eric attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia and graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance. Following several years of working in the information technology field, Eric aspired to become a lawyer and obtained his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.
