John Bair
A graduate of West Point, John served as a captain and a military aviator while attending the renowned academy. After completing his military obligation, John remained committed to serving his country and its citizens. This sense of duty led John to the settlement planning industry.
Since 1999, John has guided thousands of plaintiffs and their families through the transition from litigation to lifelong financial security. His commitment to plaintiff advocacy has been demonstrated in his representation of families of victims lost in the Flight 3407 crash and in his efforts to offer pro bono services to the families of 9/11 victims. Most recently, John has been appointed as a Court-approved structured settlement broker for claimants involved in the BP/Deepwater Horizon settlement.
John's passion for plaintiff advocacy resulted in the drafting and creation of the first consumer protection bill for plaintiffs. The Structured Settlement Claimants Rights Act of 2013 (H.R. 3699) was re-introduced in Congress to amend Title 28 of the United States Code in an effort to provide increased consumer protection in the context of settlement.
An energetic family man, John shares his enthusiasm for life and family with his wife Amy and their three children, Ceci, Jake, and Nate.
