Tyler Burk
Associate AttorneyTyler Burk is as an associate attorney at Grewal Law PLLC, joining the firm after working as a law clerk since January of 2020. His practice areas include general civil litigation, criminal defense, and family law.
Tyler obtained his Juris Doctorate from WMU Thomas M. Cooley Law School and graduated first in his class, summa cum laude. While in law school, Tyler was dedicated to his studies and received Certificates of Merit for academic excellence in over half his enrolled courses, including Family Law, Wills and Trusts, Estate Planning, Contracts, and Criminal Procedure. Tyler knew that his legal education was key to helping future clients, and he was committed to learning as much as he could in each law school course.
Tyler grew up in Mount Pleasant, Michigan and attended both Wayne State University and Central Michigan University for his bachelor’s degree. Tyler graduated with honors from CMU, cum laude, and majored in Sociology with a concentration in Social and Criminal Justice and a minor in Legal Studies. In addition to being a member of Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Honor Society of Sociology, Tyler also spent a great deal of time volunteering for the community during his undergraduate studies.
Tyler’s experience with the law began long before college and law school. While still in high school, Tyler obtained his first job working at a local law firm specializing in criminal defense and family law. Throughout high school, college, and law school, Tyler worked his way up from a filing assistant to a law clerk. Through this experience, Tyler gained invaluable knowledge of each step of the legal process, from beginning consultations to trial preparation.
In his free time, Tyler enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time with his family, friends, and Australian Shepherd, Margo.
