An 11 year old boy lost his lefy eye during a state organized junior pheasant hunt north of Sacramento on Sunday. The accident occurred in the Feather River Wildlife area during a hunt organized by the Department of Fish and Game. The accident happened when another boy 20-30 feet away, fired his .20 gauge shotgun and accidentally stuck the boy in the face.
