I read recently where the manufacturer of children’s safety seats, Evenflo, announced in February the recall of one million of their car seats that were proven to be defective and potentially harmful to those involved in accidents.
Apparently, when Evenflo and the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration tested the car seats they found that upon impact, the seats separated from their base. As a father, this is scary. We buy products that we assume have been properly tested and will protect our most cherished possessions (“our children”) in the event of a car accident.
I personally am thankful we trial lawyers are out there protecting consumers and our babies from companies who put products out in the market place with claims of safety and protection, when in reality they do not provide protection.
