Due to an explosion and projectile hazard, JAKKS Pacific recalled their aromatherapy and bath benefits kits. About 516,000 have already been recalled and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission encourages all consumers of the kits to take away the jars and caps away from small children and to contact JAKKS for free replacements. Carbon dioxide in the jars of the Bath Bombs/Balls or Bath Fizzies can build up causing the caps on the jars to blow off. This build up of carbon dioxide can cause projectile hazards as well as risk of explosion. The mixture of the bubbles can also cause eye irritation if there is contact due to citric acid in the solution.

JAKKS and the CPSC have received 88 reports of the jars exploding and there have been 13 reported injuries in children ages 6 to 11. Three of these cases involved irritated eyes and two eye injuries from the cap exploding from the jar. There have also been 4 reported injuries in adults, which included bruising, one swollen joint and one face gash.

Be aware of the risks associated with this product, and if you have one that has been recalled then contact JAKKS immediately.
