April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, so spend some time and think about what you can do to make the roads safer. Here are a couple of suggestions:

  • Commit to not use our cell phone for any reason while you are driving.
  • Talk to your children about the importance of only driving while you are driving.
  • Don't talk to someone who is driving if you call them.
  • Ask your Governor or state and local legislatures to look into strengthening the law concerning distracted driving.

There are a number of websites that you should visit or suggest to others: 60forSafety.org or follow the news feed on Facebook.

Watch this video from Joel Feldman and his non-profit, EndDD.org:

Joel and his wife Dianne, who tragically lost their 21-year daughter Casey just three years ago, have been working tirelessly to help launch and promote these campaigns in states throughout the country.

Read the story of Kate McGuire and how she took her eyes off the road for a second. She became a killer.

This is a way to make yourself a safer driver and work to make it a safer road overall.
