Toys ‘R’ Us and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have issued a voluntary recall of 9,000 Toys ‘R’ Us’ Imaginarium Activity Walker due to a possible choking hazard inherent in the product. The Imaginarium Activity Walker was manufactured in China and imported to the U.S. by Toys ‘R’ Us, Inc., of Wayne, New Jersey. A small bolt and spacer attaching the front wheels to the walker may become detached and could be a choking hazard for young children.

The 9,000 units of the Imaginarium Activity Walker were sold by Toys ‘R’ Us locations throughout the U.S. and in Canada, and on-line by www.toysrus.com, from August 2011 through January 2013 for approximately $30. Toys ‘R’ Us has received five reports of the front wheels becoming detached from the walker. To date, no injury reports have been received.

The Imaginarium Activity Walkers are approximately 19 inches in height and approximately 13 inches wide. On the bottom of the walkers, model number “Toys ‘R’ Us 5F5E972” and the barcode number “3700217300319” can be found. The walkers have a “round wooden push handle on a curved triangle-shaped wooden walker base on four wooden wheels. The toy contains a multi-colored metal xylophone and 2 mallets, an abacus and a noise-maker.

Consumers are advised to remove the Imaginarium Activity Walkers from their children’s access immediately and return it to a Toys ‘R’ Us store for a full refund or store credit. Consumers may contact Toys ‘R’ Us by calling 1(800)869-7787, from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, or by visiting www.toysrus.com and clicking on Safety Information and Recalls.
