Our children are in danger every day from our cars, even when we are not on the roadway. Just last week, 7 children died from injuries from non-traffic related accidents with cars such as leaving children in cars, backovers, etc. On average, over 450 children a year are injured from these types of accidents, 150 of which lead to fatalities.
Please check out the wonderful group called Kids and Cars for more information on how to protect your kids when you think they are safe in your driveway. There are far too many children dying needless deaths. Please take this matter concerning child safety very seriously and spread the word.
