Fellow InjuryBoard.com, Ken Margolin, who practices in Boston, has hit the nail on the head with his article, When to Call an Attorney.
The answer to the question, “when should I call a lawyer after I’ve had an accident?” is almost always, “right away.” Contacting an attorney as soon as possible after an accident or possible medical negligence, can increase the odds of a good result if the facts warrant filing a lawsuit.
Ken offers some examples of benefits to early attorney contact. I can add the fact that the opposition is busy, busy, busy soon after an accident or incident shaping the facts (sometimes called prepping the battlefield).
The reasons for early attorney consultation are exactly the same in Florida as they are in Massachusetts.
My daughter attended Boston College so I had the pleasure of visiting Ken’s city often. I thank Ken for his important post and for bringing back memories of those enjoyable trips.
