According to Reuters, Ford has extended 2005’s 3.8 million vehicle recall to include over 1.2 million vehicles manufactured at the Chamberlain Lane, Kentucky Truck Plant. This includes the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 trucks built from1994 – 2002, 2000-2004 Excursions, 1998 Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer SUVs and 1996 – 2002 commercial vans built in Louisville. It appears that fire may break out as brake fluid may seep into the deactivation switch for the cruise control on these models. Owners should call their local dealership for additional information.
