Not a lot of cases go all the way to trail. Usually, they go to trial because not enough is offered or the defendant won’t take responsibility. Unfortunately, the responsibility is really the work of the insurance company. The actual defendant is only there because in Minnesota that is who we have to sue. It’s the insurance company that hires the lawyer, that calls the shots, and often forces the case to trial with tactics of delay, deny, and defend.
We can’t tell the juries about this at the trial, because the court rules don’t allow it. So while it may look like it’s people against people, relatives against relatives, or even children against their parents. That is really not the case.
The jury is important to make the right decision and to insure that Justice is done. Hopefully, they take the time to listen and to understand what the case is about.
