Three people were hurt, two critically, when their car smashed into a tree in the Green Lake area early Thursday. The accident happened during a rain squall just before 9:00 a.m.
Three young men were in a Toyota Corolla in the 6700 block of Aurora Avenue North when they suddenly veered off the road, went over an embankment and into a tree on the west side of Green Lake.
Seattle firefighters were called to the scene and had to cut the car to remove the men. All three were taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The driver and the front seat passenger both suffered chest, head and pelvic injuries. The back seat passenger was also hurt, but his injuries were less serious.
In cases like this the passengers have claims against the driver. Situations like this are exactly why the driver purchased insurance–to make sure that people injured in an accident received the medical treatment and compensation they deserved.
