For the second time this month, Delaware Authorities are reporting an accident involving a school bus. This time the mishap involves the collision of two school buses.
Nine students were injured this morning when two school buses collided near the Maurice J. Moyer Charter Academy on 17th street in Wilmington.
“While reports of injuries are still coming in, it is important to note based upon our experience in representing children who have been injured in these types of school bus accidents that prompt investigation and a full review of any of the child’s ongoing complaints are essential, based on my experience handling children who have suffered major injuries” advises Attorney Bernard Smalley of Anapol Schwartz, who has previously represented children who have sustained catastrophic injuries in previous school bus accidents.
This comes two weeks to the day after a single school bus flipped on its side on I-295 in New Castle. Thirty-seven passengers, mostly students from the Pencader Business and Finance Charter High School were taken to Christiana Hospital and released after being treated for minor injuries.
