I recently returned from 10 days in Israel and she is an amazing Country deep in history and bursting with technology. The following facebook/speeding story is dumb and dangerous, but it shows that some people will do anything for attention–even put their own lives as well as the lives of others in danger.

Three young Israelis recently took a fast lane to the police station when they decided to post a video of themselves on Facebook driving at 162 mph on the highway. It is the first time that Israeli police say that they’ve made an arrest based on a homemade video.

Police spokesman, Micky Rosenfield, indicated that the driver will be charged with reckless driving, while the two passengers are expected to be charged with encouraging the driver to break the law. The video depicts the two passengers clapping and screaming at the driver to accelerate, as well as boasting where they would post the video on the Internet. One passenger even boasted that it only took 9 minutes to make a trip that would usually take 26 minutes.
