Police have released further details about the accident that killed 16-year-old Lyndsy Sansaver last Monday morning. Ms. Sansaver was a passenger in the back seat of a Toyota who was thrown from the vehicle when the driver lost control on the Alaskan Way Viaduct. Witnesses called 911 at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Monday morning and told dispatchers that the Toyota was speeding as it entered the viaduct. The Toyota driver first crashed into the left guardrail, then crossed all lanes of traffic and hit the right guardrail before her vehicle spun around and came to a stop.
