I am pleased that I have been asked to present at the first annual Atlantic Class Action Symposium at my alma mater, Dalhousie law School (now the Schulich School of Law).

The confence agenda looks impressive with some interesting topics including:

• National & Regional Class Action Round-Up

• Case Evaluation and Acceptance

• The Elephant in the Room: A Real and Substantial Connection

• Certifying the Class • Crown Liability

• Environmental Class Actions

• A View from the Bench: Judicial Panel: Case Management and Certification Motions

I have seen the list of the speakers who will make up the faculty and I can safely say they include some of the top class action lawyers from across the country (it's truly an honour to be included) and judges who have decided some of the most important class action decisions in the last ten years.

The conference website will be up shortly, but you can contact me directly through this blog if you have any questions.
