Specialty Farms is expanding a recall of certain alfalfa sprout products due to a potential Listeria Monocytogenes contamination.
While no illnesses have been reported to date, Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly and others with compromised immune systems.
Below are the brands and corresponding UPC numbers that are affected by this recall:

Alfalfa sprouts have been been the center of a few recalls over the past few years. In April 2009 and March 2008 they were linked to salmonella.
