Butter Cup Cakes have been recalled by Red Lotus Bakery because they may contain undeclared eggs, according to a news release by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). People who are allergic to eggs may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they unknowingly consume this product.
The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors initiated the recall after routine sampling revealed the presence of eggs in the 12 ounce packages of “Butter Cup Cake” which failed to declare egg on the ingredient label.
