Amateur soccer is responsible for a surprisingly high number of fractures and other significant injuiries to the mouth, jaw and face according to a recent article in The Journal of Craniofacial Surgery. Most of the injuries in the study were suffered by mean 18-24. Dental fractures are the most common injuries suffered by soccer players followed by fractures of the mandible.
