Trumpette Inc., working in cooperation with the CPSC, issued a voluntary recall of baby socks due to a choking hazard posed by flowers and bows on the baby socks which have the potential to detach.

To date the company has received eight reports of bows and/or flowers detaching from the socks but there have been no reports of injury.

This recall involves “Aubree’s” and “Hearts” baby socks sold in sizes 0 to 12 months sold in packages of six pairs, available in multiple colors. The CPSC News Release includes photos of the recalled socks for reference.

Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled socks and to remove the flowers and bows to eliminate the hazard. Alternatively, the items can be returned to the store of purchase or to Trumpette for a refund or store credit.

For more information call the company toll-free at (877) 938-7265 or visit them online at www.trumpette.com.
