Buy Buy Baby is voluntarily recalling Idea Baby Bath Seats because they fail to meet federal safety standards, including requirements for stability. In particular, the seats can tip over which poses a risk of drowning.
To this date there have been no injuries or incidents reported in conjunction with this recall.
This recall involves Idea Baby brand infant bath seats that are for use with children five to ten months. The seat is pink or blue plastic and has four suction cups on the bottom. The CPSC News Release includes photos of the recalled seat for reference.
Consumers are urged to discontinue using the recalled bath seats. If the seats were purchased at a Buy Buy Baby store or online, they can be returned to the store for credit. If they were purchased at a Bed Bath & Beyond store, they should be returned to the store of purchase for store credit.
