An estimated 300 cases of Prego Traditional Italian sauce has been recalled due to a spoilage risk.
Campbell Soup Company shipped the products to several states including New York, Arizona as well as several others. At this time there are no reports of illness associated with this recall.
A routine quality control testing discovered the potential spoilage. No other Campbell products are affected by this recall.
The recalled Prego products were manufactured on December 15 and can be identified by the “Best By” date of June 16, 2015 and a four-digit, military time code ranging from “CT BJ ZV 0330” through “CT BJ ZV 0449.”
Consumers are advised to discard the product and avoid consumption. The products can be returned to the store of purchase for a refund. For more information call Campbell at 866-270-9303.
