There’s a new potential product liability issue we’re seeing that should be on your radar. The issue involves high-end carbon fiber bikes, which are poorly manufactured and may result in sudden failure. Failure generally occurs at high speeds and causes the rider to lose control of the bicycle. Carbon fiber is considered state of the art among avid and competitive cyclists, but there is little regulation of what constitutes good manufacturing processes.
