Infant cradle swings have been recalled by Fisher-Price due to a fall hazard.
Cradle ‘n Swings are being recalled because when the seat peg is not fully engaged, the seat can fall unexpectedly, posing the risk of injury, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
Three models of the Fisher-Price cradle swings are involved in this recall:
• CHM84 Soothing Savanna Cradle ‘n Swing
• CMR40 Sweet Surroundings Cradle ‘n Swing
• CMR43 Sweet Surroundings Butterfly Friends Cradle ‘n Swing
To date, there have been two reports of the seat peg detaching from the seat, causing the seat to fail. However, there has not been any injuries reported.
The recalled products sold from November 2015 through March at BuyBuyBaby, Target and other stores nationwide including online stores such as Amazon.
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled swings and to contact Fisher-Price for updated assembly instructions. Any further questions and information should be directed to the company by calling (800) 432-5437 or by visiting their recalls and safety alerts online.
