Cuisinart issued a voluntary recall of certain 7-cup food processors because the disc on the device can loosen when in use and the blade can strike and break the cover which can pose a laceration hazard to the user.
To date, the company has received one report an incident that involved a consumer being struck i the cheek with a piece of the plastic cover the cracked off while in use. No medical attention was required.
This recall involves the following models: MFP-107, MFP-107BC, MFP-107BCWS, MFP-107BK, MFP-107BKWS, MFP-107DCWS, MFP-107MGSLT, MFP-107MR or MFP-107WS.
