Mutsy initiated a voluntary recall of EVO strollers, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety (CPSC). An infant’s body can pass through the opening between the grab bar and seat bottom of the stroller posing a strangulation hazard.
To date, the company has not received any reports or incidents associated with this recall.
The recalled strollers were sold at juvenile products stores and online at Amazon between April 2012 and December 2012. The recall involves EVO strollers with the following model numbers: MT12-03, MT12-11, MT12-14, MT12-31, MT12-34, MT12-37, MT12-39, MT12-42, MT12-43 and MT12-48.
Consumers are urged to discontinue using the recalled strollers and to contact the company as soon as possible to arrange a free replacement grab bar and seat unit. Consumers are directed to call the company at (877) 546-9230, by e-mail at usa@mutsy.nl, or by visiting www.mutsy.com for more information.
