L.L. Bean, working in cooperation with the CPSC, initiated a voluntary recall of folding camp rockers because the plastic anchors that attach the fabric seat back to the frame can break, posing a fall hazard.
To this date, the company has received six incident reports that have involved the anchors breaking, which have resulted in four falls. But no injuries have been reported.
The recall involves L.L. Bean Folding Camp Rockers with numbers RNR113 and RNR114. The recalled chairs were sold at L.L. Bean stores nationwide, online and in their catalog.
Please note that Mac Sports, the manufacturer, has changed the anchor material from plastic to fabric in the current production and those rockers are not affected by the recall.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled chairs and to contact the company for a free replacement.
