Now we all know that Eric “Ponch” Estrada has been living off of his CHIPS fame for quite a while, and we have seen those pearly whites pitch us everything from real estate to burgers, but whatever happened to his co-star “Jon”?
Well thanks to the WSJ law blog and the LA Times I have been informed that “Jon,” actually Larry Wilcox, has allegedly been committing securities fraud.
Apparently Wilcox found himself on the wrong end of a joint FBI and SEC sting operation that uncovered numerous kickback schemes being employed by penny-stock promoters to illegally generate stock sales.
So I don’t know about you but for some reason this news is very disappointing to me. My fond childhood memories of the CHIPS had already been tainted by Ponch’s ridiculous cameos and infomercials, and now this.
