Green Toys Inc., issued a voluntary recall of mini vehicle toy cars, in cooperation with the CPSC, due to a choking hazard posed by the hubcaps detaching from the toy cars.
The recall affects about 50,000 toys in the U.S. and 2,500 in Canada. To this date, the company has received ten reports of the pieces detaching or loosening. However, there have been no injuries reported.
The toy recall involves plastic Green Toys Mini Vehicles, available in several colors. The CPSC News Release includes the model numbers included in the recall as well as photos of the recalled items for easy reference.
CPSC urges consumers to stop using the product immediately and to take it away from small children to eliminate a choking hazard.
For a refund, consumers should call Green Toys direct at (888) 973-3421. You can also visit the company’s Web site for more information concerning this recall at www.greentoys.com/recall.
