A truck accident on the I-90 closed the freeway on Wednesday morning. A tractor trailer rolled over at the Northway exit. The truck’s load spilled all over the freeway.
The accident happened just after 7 a.m. as a tractor trailer loaded with 54,000 pounds of construction material was traveling west on I-90. That’s when another car crossed into its lane.
“The most serious contributing factor to this accident was the unsafe actions of the passenger car,” said Sgt. James Allendorph of the State Police. “We’re unable at this time to identify the owner or operator of that passenger car that caused the accident.”
The police are investigating the accident and trying to locate the driver and car. If you have any information please contact the New York State Police.
