Lawyers and doctors and other health care professionals see first-hand how lives are torn apart by distracted driving crashes. Health care professionals believe that the best form of treatment is prevention. Lawyers and doctors, and other health care professionals are now teaming up to speak with teens across the country about distracted driving!

The EndDD.org high school presentation is scientifically based and was developed with the help of doctors and researchers at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia to maximize its effectiveness in changing teens’ driving behaviors. The presentation has successfully been given to more than 50,000 teens across the country and 200,000 will see the presentation by June of 2013.

Joel Feldman, founder of EndDD.org and a trial attorney in Philadelphia, developed the presentation with researchers, pediatricians and engineers following the death of his 21 year old daughter Casey by a distracted driver in 2009. Joel has given presentations to teens and adults-including health care professionals, most recently to those who treat pediatric spinal cord injuries.

“While our focus is on teens because they are so vulnerable it is gratifying to speak to health care professionals who readily admit that they drive distracted and that they must change the way that they drive. Lawyers, doctors and other health care professionals are perfectly suited to work together to stem this epidemic that is needlessly claiming so many lives,” says Joel. The EndDD.org presentation will be specially adapted for health care professionals to use when reaching out to talk about distracted driving.
