I don’t think it’s effective to tell people what they should think.

It’s more persuasive to provide them with the carefully selected pieces of information and allow them to make up their own minds.

If you reach the ultimate conclusion, whether it be in deposition testimony or arguing a motion, presenting the closing argument to the jury conveys a certain sense of desperation.

When facts are carefully selected and thoughtfully presented they speak for themselves. And when they speak for themselves the ultimate message is embraced by the listener. No force-feeding necessary.
