LSI Wind Speed Sensors, by Load Systems International (LSI), have been voluntarily recalled. The recall as prompted because the sensor can fail to display accurate data and cause crane operators – as wells as others – to incorrectly judge wind conditions which in turn poses an injury risk to the consumer.
To date there have been no reports of incidents or injuries in conjunction with this recall.
The recall involves LSI model GS025 wind speed sensors that carry serial numbers 100015 and 100412. Model and serial numbers are on the underside of the product’s base.
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled wind speed sensors and wait for LSI to contact them about the recall or they can call the company directly for instructions on obtaining a replacement unit.
LSI can be reached at (888) 819-4355 or online at www.loadsystems.com, then click on the Windspeed recall link for additional information.
