A voluntary recall of sterile products, compounded by Main Street Family Pharmacy, was issued today due to an increased risk of serious infection in the likelihood that the sterile product is compromised.
The products affected by the recall are those with a use by date on or before November 20, 2013. The recall was prompted after seven reported cases of adverse events associated with the products. An investigation into the source is ongoing by the company working in cooperation with the FDA. There are no additional reports of illness or injury at this time.

The items were distributed nationwide to licensed medical professionals and patients. The company will be contacting customers by fax, email and/or mail to return the products to the company.
