Suzuki has issued a recall of more than 68,000 motorcycles in the U.S. due to a battery charging system issue that can cause the bikes to stall.
The recall involves 15 Suzuki models from the years 2008 to 2012. According to documents submitted by the auto company and posted by U.S. safety regulators, the problem has been traced back to a circuit board in the charging system. To date, one consumer has filed a complaint in the U.S. but in other countries, the complaints exceed 200.
The recall covers the following motorcycle models:
- 2008 to 2012 AN400, AN400A, DL1000 and GSX1300R.
- 2008 to 2009 GSF1250S and GSF1250SA.
- 2008 GSX1300BK and GSX1300BKA, the 2008 to 2010 GSX650F, GSX-R600, GSX-R750, VLR1800, VLR1800T, and the 2009 to 2010 SFV650 and VZ1500.
