Mugs Recalled By Carlisle Due to Burn Hazard

Carlisle FoodService Products issued a voluntary recall of cups and mugs, because they can break when exposed to hot liquids, posing a burn hazard.

To this date, the company has received three reports of the items breaking, but no injuries have occurred.

Nine models of Carlisle cups and mugs are involved in the recall. Below is a chart to make the recalled items easy to detect. For further reference, the FDA Website has photos of the recalled mugs.

The items were sold online through distributor outlets, food service companies and more from January 2011 to January 2012.

Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled cups and mugs and to return them to Carlisle for a credit toward a future purchase. The company will provide instructions for free return shipping.
