Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heaters have been voluntarily recalled by Meijer, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), due to a defect that can cause the heaters to short out, posing a fire hazard.
Two incidents involving fires that resulted in property damage have been reported, to date. There were no injuries.
The recall involves Touch Point PTC oscillating ceramic heaters with model number PTC-902 and serial number between 35005 to 43008. The items were sold exclusively at Meijer stores from October 2009 through October 2010.
