Undeclared soy and wheat prompted the recall of Pat O’Brien’s Bloody Mary Cocktail Mix. People that have an allergy to soy and wheat are at risk of suffering a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if the products are unknowingly consumed.

The recalled bottles were distributed nationwide at retail stores and online. To date, there have been no reports of illness in connection with this recall.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered the mix was distributed in packaging that does not list the presence of soy and wheat. An investigation showed the mix up was caused by a change in an ingredient.

The production and distribution of Pat O’Brien’s Bloody Mary Cocktail Mix has been halted while the agency and company work to correct the problem and ensure it has been fixed.

Consumers are urged to return the recalled items to the place of purchase for a refund. Questions should be directed to the company by calling them directly at 1-504-834-1549.
