Some cases of Taylor Farms Hearts of Romaine bags of lettuce have been recalled due to a potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
To date there have been no reports of illness associated with this recall. Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in elderly people, young children and others with weakened immune systems. Otherwise healthy individuals are likely to suffer short-term systems such as headache, nausea, abdominal pain, fever and diarrhea.
