A voluntary recall of certain 4-ounce Whole Catch Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon has been recalled by Whole Foods Market, due to the potential to be contaminated with Listeria.
The Salmon affected by the recall involves UPC Code: 0 99482 40880 0 and Lot Code: 7425A2298B.
According to the company, the recalled items were distributed in several states including New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and others. To this date, no illnesses have been reported.
Pregnant women, young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems are most vulnerable to Listeria. Symptoms of illness include, but are not limited to, fever, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
