To increase accountability for Ohio’s state agencies, new Governor Ted Strickland has ordered the agencies to freeze all spending on catered meals and restaurant outings until the nearly $4 Million dollars spent on food-related expenses over the last two years can be explained. Strickland’s efforts will benefit Ohio residents and consumers by curtailing wasteful government spending.

This hard-line on state spending is just another way for Ohioans to receive more benefits for the tax money shelled out each year. It will also help ensure that necessary funding will be in place when needed.
