Teavana has issued a voluntary recall of Glass Tea Tumblers because they can unexpectedly break or shatter posing a burn and laceration risk. The recall was issued in the U.S. and Canada.
To this date, the company has received an estimated 302 reports of the recalled tumblers breaking or shattering. Six reports involved burns and lacerations and injuries to fingers, legs and burned toes.
The recall involves most models. The CPSC Website has a complete list of the recalled models with corresponding photos, product codes and UPC numbers for reference.
The agency urges consumers to discontinue using the recalled glass tumblers and to return them to any Teavana store for a free replacement and complimentary tea. For more information about how to return the product, please call (877) 261-1509 or visit them online at www.Teavana.com.
